YOUTH RED CROSS

YRC was established in 1863 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Father of Red Cross movement and recipient of noble award for peace in 1901 was “Jean Henry Dunant”, who was a successful businessman. The Youth Red Cross is the most important component of Indian Red Cross Society established under Central Act XV of 1920. It is a group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 and 25 years of age within the colleges. Under the guidance of Programme Officer, the students are trained and encouraged to manage various programmes. The motto of Youth Red Cross (YRC) is "to serve".YRC aims at inculcating the 7 fundamental principles of the Red Cross Movement, ie., Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, independence, Voluntary service, Unity & Universality. In fact, the red cross emblem itself is an important symbol of humanitarian protection.

UCEA & YRC

In our College YRC unit was started during 2014. From the date of initialization our college YRC unit involved actively in training the students to handle difficult situations by conducting various awareness programmes like Fire safety protection , First AID programme, Disaster management programme...Our students also participate in IRCS study Campus to get nawareness about IRCS/YRC. Recent days our YRC unit arranged many awareness programmes related to legal protection for women and childrens. Every year Our YRC unit conducts Blood Donation Camp to inculcate Service mind from College days itself.
